Love is…..

One of the most beautiful moments I think I have ever photographed. She sat in the dressing room telling us how much she loved him before the service. It was amazing the words she said. But I think I caught everyone of them unspoken in this one image. Bruce works for me and is a awesome guy. That he has found someone that loves him just like he is, no change or performance required, that is love.

The Marriners!

I took the time to post a couple pics from Bruce and Michaela’s big day. They had a wonderful wedding and a great time last evening. I picked these two because the group photo really does show the crazy fun people they are. The second with Bruce and Mich walking down the street I like because of arrow at their feet. If there is a couple that will challenge and make their own way, not following anyone, it will be these two. I wouldnt have wanted anyone else but theirs to be my last wedding. Bruce is married!

Spring 2012

I felt a raindrop hit the top of my left hand resting on the arm rest on my car door. It had fallen through the small opening at the top of my window. I had opened my window so I could smell the fresh spring rain. As I made my way around a bend in the road, the raindrop fell, landed, not settling, then rolled off my skin. It was cool and brief. I had been driving, rehashing the minutes that had created my crowded day to that point. But as I looked down at the remaining trace of moisture on my skin, I was brought into this evening, away from the day. I looked around me as I continued down the wet shiny road that stretched in front of me. Everything was clean, freshly washed and in the process of drying, soaking up the one of the first gifts of the season. It was the first day of Spring. As I looked to my left and right, green fields had replaced the rhythmic plowed rows that were only a few days ago, those visible in the winters cut soil. Now the fields were filled up like green lakes of short shallow grasses. The deep rich colors stretched to the distant trees that were just beginning to fill with the bright yellows and greens of the new season. Spring is coming to Hwy 11 and through the dark mornings and the slow evening drives through the valley on my way home, I am enjoying it; this evening, one beautiful blooming tree, one raindrop at a time.
